I have recently purchased a slightly larger vehicle to help me with my event organisation and so have my 2004 HYUNDAI MATRIX car for sale. I am the 2nd owner and it has only done a fraction over 54,000 mile and is very comfortable to drive and is in good condition
It is taxed until 31 May 2011 and has MOT until mid April 2011
If you are interested, please phone me on 077 47 77 62 33
Throughout this website, mention is made of entering on the day being slightly more expensive than pre-entering. I have to remind you that the 'enter on the day' only applies where there are places left....the most recent over subscribed events being one of the Ronhill Surrey Classic Races and the New Years Eve Duathlon.
One event that is only enter on the day are the Derby Midweek Events run from September to April...but it is very helpful if you e-mail me to let me know that you will be there.
If like me you do, then here is a tip that I read in "Country Walking" magazine.....when you get foot cramp, press hard just above your upper lip for a few seconds and the cramp goes...something to do with internal connections. It works!!
And from the same magazine....after a hard run over the muddy country or fells, you really want to get warm leggings on and you try unsuccessfully to do it without taking off your muddy shoes and, if you do succeed, the inside of the leggings are muddy, here's what you do......put your foot inside a plastic bag and then slide your foot into the leggings, repeating with the other foot and so keep the inside of the leggings dry.
A friend told me of a good offer to get Eurosport 1 and 2 plus the Eurosport News Channel for about £36 a year!!! So, as I spend much of the year travelling, and don't have cable or satellite at home, I have just paid 39.90 EUR (I was in Prague when I registered) and so watched all of the Tour de France and am looking forward to the World Athletics Championships on my laptop.....dead easy.
Go to www.eurosport.co.uk and then there is a button for Eurosport Player.
Airport parking is often very expensive. Just go to www.compare-airport-parking.com and see the vast differences in price
I was recently quoted £62 for a month's parking near Birmingham Airport and thought it reasonable and so saved the quote until the confirmation of my flight times came through. When they did, I went to confirm the park to find it had increased to £123!!!! So I went on to www.thetrainline.co.uk and got a return from Derby for just under £15!!!! What a saving
As a way of encouraging more youngsters to take part in sport, from now on, in individual races I organise, there will be no charge for those under 16 on the day of the race.
